Akins Traum vom Osmanischen Reich

Alter Ego plans to write a play about the Ottoman Empire - a seemingly hopeless endeavor. In his search for inspiration, he encounters a talking half-horse and a dream in human form, which take him from the shattered reality of Gelsenkirchen back to Osman I in the 13th century. An exhilarating journey through time and space begins, during which we experience the rise and fall of an empire that once stood at the gates of Vienna between family dynasties and claims to power.
Stefan Bachmann tells the prehistory of modern Türkiye with humor and lightness. The evening will be accompanied by a live band led by Sven Kaiser.
