When two pianists share a keyboard, more than music is created: a connection of hands, sounds, and glances emerges. The piano duo Diána Fuchs and Hiroyo Masumura blend together with the utmost virtuosity, subtle coordination, and occasionally even diplomatic skill.

Their program combines works that are not only pianistically demanding, but also highlight the special art form of playing together on the same instrument: sometimes intimately intertwined, sometimes wittily pointed, but always with a fine sense of balance and timing.

Between finger acrobatics and musical profundity, the artists deliberately allow moments to arise in which the audience can experience the small absurdities and comedies of four-handed playing. For when four hands compete for 88 keys, not only do great soundscapes emerge, but also charming stories told with a wink.
