The I Virtuosi dell’Opera di Roma present one of the most celebrated masterpieces of classical music in their 2026 season:
Antonio Vivaldi – The Four Seasons.
The ensemble, composed of musicians trained at Italy’s most prestigious conservatories, is renowned for its refined interpretations of classical and operatic repertoire, combining technical excellence with expressive depth.
In four violin concertos for solo violin and strings, the changing seasons are vividly brought to life in music – from the freshness of spring and the intensity of summer to the warmth of autumn and the stark contrasts of winter. Each concerto captures the unique atmosphere and emotions of its season.
The program is further enriched by selected works of sacred music for strings, adding moments of contemplation and elegance to the evening.
The concert takes place at the Basilica di San Nicola in Carcere, a remarkable medieval church in the heart of Rome. Its historic setting and exceptional acoustics provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable musical experience.
