Ab Herbst 2026 geht Ferdinand von Schirach mit seinem neuen Programm »Der stille Freund« auf Tournee durch Deutschland, Österreich und die Schweiz. Es erzählt von den Triumphen des Menschen und seinem Scheitern. Von Freundschaft, Hoffnung, der griechischen Stoa und dem Tod. Das Programm wird dabei eine ganz eigenständige Form haben, angelehnt an das gleichnamige Buch. Es wird aber so nur auf der Bühne zu erleben sein.

Der Spiegel nannte Ferdinand von Schirach einen »großartigen Erzähler«, die New York Times einen »außergewöhnlichen Stilisten«, der Independent verglich ihn mit Kafka und Kleist, die Financial Times mit Raymond Carver, und der Daily Telegraph schrieb, er sei »eine der markantesten Stimmen der europäischen Literatur«.
