Evgeny Kissin's piano recitals at the Musikverein are always eagerly anticipated, as each one possesses a special magic. For about a quarter of a century, the great Russian pianist has regularly performed in the Golden Hall, usually in the first months of the year. In the 2025/26 season, Evgeny Kissin appeared right at the beginning of the season as a chamber musician in a piano trio with violinist Joshua Bell and cellist Steven Isserlis – and he returns on March 7 for his next recital. His program includes works by composers whose music lovers in Vienna have always heard him perform with great fascination: Beethoven (Sonata Op. 10/3), Chopin (Mazurkas), Rachmaninoff (Moments musicaux, Op. 16), and Liszt (Hungarian Rhapsody No. 12).
