Salzburger Adventsingen 2025 – “The Blind Shepherd!”
For nearly 80 years, the Salzburger Adventsingen at the Great Festival Hall has been one of the most cherished highlights of the Christmas season. In 2025, the scenic oratorio “The Blind Shepherd!” by Hans Köhl and Shane Woodborne sets the biblical story of Mary and Joseph against an alpine backdrop, bringing the timeless message of Advent into the heart of Salzburg’s mountains.
With more than 150 performers – from traditional folk ensembles and choirs to the famous Salzburg Shepherd Children – this production unites folk music, classical elements, and moving stage scenes into a truly unique experience.
An evening of reflection, music, and community that has already touched generations and is often described as true “nourishment for the soul.”
