The Mission - Europa 2027

The Mission ist eine britische Rockband, die 1985 gegründet wurde und im Laufe ihrer Karriere bemerkenswerte Erfolge feiern konnte.

Die Band landete 13 Singles in den britischen Top 40, darunter die legendären Hits „Wasteland“ und „Tower of Strength“. Alben wie „God’s Own Medicine“ und „Carved In Sand“ verkauften sich weltweit mehr als fünf Millionen Mal.

Ihren Ruf als außergewöhnliche Live-Band festigten The Mission durch zahlreiche Auszeichnungen, ausverkaufte Tourneen rund um den Globus und Headliner-Auftritte bei Festivals auf der ganzen Welt – darunter gleich zweimal beim renommierten Reading Festival.

Trotz Besetzungswechseln und längerer Pausen fanden The Mission 2011 wieder zusammen und touren seither regelmäßig. Bis heute begeistert die Band ihr Publikum auf Bühnen rund um den Globus.

Place

WUK is a 12000-square-metre space of culture, workshops, and social gathering. Located in one of the biggest cultural centres of Europe, it is also at the intersection of artistic practice, labour, and political engagement. WUK offers a cultural space where one can contemplate, discuss, and explore. The former locomotive factory is now home to our four main program areas (music, theatre/dance, children's culture, arts at Kunsthalle Exnergasse:), 150 independent cultural groups and initiatives, and educational and advisory projects. WUK provides a venue as well as organizational support to those interested in art, politics, and social engagement. We offer various opportunities to get involved, including the use of the venue and organization support for social, artistic, or political projects. Active participation, self-management, and grassroots democracy form the basic philosophy of WUK. Our association is driven by our employees, friends, sponsors, artists, and visitors.
